About Diana…

Congratulations on taking the first step toward seeking support, making a positive change, challenging the uncomfortable or overwhelming emotions, and healing. I know how difficult, and sometimes terrifying, it is to find the right fit in a therapist and begin the journey. Having survived my own challenges and traumas in life, I also know how complex it can be to recover, heal, and move forward. It is without a doubt the most challenging, yet rewarding, experience and you are worth it.

I have always been curious about why people behave and think the way they do, which led to pursuing a Bachelors in Psychology at Loyola University Chicago. After recognizing the need for more understanding of the therapeutic realm and the impacts of severe trauma, I obtained my Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Denver with a specialization in clinical work and family systems. Throughout my career, I have been able to gain experience working with a wide variety of ages, walks of life, and challenges in various settings. I provide individual, couples, and family therapy, with an aim to create a safe and supportive environment for people to process through:

  • Past/current traumas
  • Addictive behaviors
  • Depression, Anxiety, or other difficulties with mood
  • Internalized shame
  • Relational stressors
  • and many other hardships

My approach is non-judgmental, inclusive, and strengths-based with the ultimate goal being that people are able to figure out who they want to be, leaving them feeling empowered, confident, and safe again. I pull from a variety of evidence-based therapies depending on what is the best fit for the situation, experience, and client(s).

As a Therapist, I have the privilege to help people face unmanageable aspects of their lives by walking alongside them, rather than pulling ahead or trailing behind. I strive to implement authenticity, transparency, integrity, empathy, vulnerability, and humility into all aspects of my practice. I firmly believe that authentic, vulnerable connection paves the way to healing. It truly is an honor to stand beside individuals and families as they channel the courage that is within them to make positive changes in their lives. I honor the importance of challenging the stigma and barriers surrounding asking for help. Although I cannot do the work for you, offer a “magic solution,” or force changes to happen, I intend to support you each step of the way.

If it sounds like I may be a good fit for you, reach out today! I look forward to connecting.
