About Nicole…

I have always felt the most fulfilled when fostering a safe space for people to express their thoughts, experiences, and feelings. Being able to support and nurture resiliency in people has been a lifelong passion of mine. I’m awed by the capability of people to grow and heal from distress by having a helping hand. Along with my passion for therapy, I have always gravitated towards art. Using art as a therapeutic tool has been a way for me to be expressive, find meaning, feel connection, and promote healing. It also amplified my ability to listen and change perspectives. A desire to use these tools to help others inspired me to pursue an education in counseling with a specialty in art therapy. I graduated with a Masters in Clinical Art Therapy and Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University in New York.

After achieving licensure in New York and board certification through the Art Therapy Credentials Board, I relocated west. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in diverse behavioral health settings. My skill set helps clients find purpose and intuitive solutions for interpersonal conflicts, interfering behaviors, symptom management, and develop strengths-based skills. My specialty expertise in art therapy can also help encourage ways to incorporate creativity in my client’s healing – as I often say, you don’t need to be an artist to make art. I will meet you wherever you’re at in this journey and support you along the way.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, and Board Certified Registered Art Therapist, I am trained in supporting clients towards healing and health using creative modalities and psychotherapy. My style is strengths-based and trauma-informed, using integrative psychotherapeutic approaches based on the individual needs of my clients. I look forward to fostering that safe space for you to self-express and promote your own healing and growth. Let’s connect to see if I’m the right fit for you.
