I grew up in the Sonoran Desert and the Chiricahua Mountains. My life’s passions including: dance, yoga, living abroad, learning languages, and the outdoors, have inspired me on a journey of exploring what it is that heals humankind.
My foundations as a healer are in somatics. I believe that our mind/body/spirits have an innate ability to heal ourselves and I see my role as a partner and guide, on the journey of reconnecting back to your inner wisdom.
I have experience working with both teens and adults, in varying levels of care, and with a variety of struggles including: trauma, disordered eating, anxiety, depression, and substance use.
As both a Licensed Master’s of Social Work and Registered Yoga Teacher, I offer a diverse therapeutic lens. My work is trauma-informed, strengths-based and social justice oriented. I have taught therapeutic yoga since 2012, studying for both my 200 and 800-hour certifications.
My Master’s in Clinical Social Work and a Master’s of Public Health are from Ohio State University (go Bucks!). My trainings and teachers stem from: Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I am available for therapeutic work in Spanish, Portuguese and English.
