Meet Our Team

Mariana Vazquez-Maloney (she/her/hers)

From a young age, I knew I wanted to be in a helping profession, but it took me a while to find the right career. When I discovered counseling, something sparked inside of me, and I knew I was in the right place. Helping others, connecting as one imperfect human to another, and discovering the complexities of life together with clients makes me come alive.

My winding professional path led me to a Master of Arts in Counseling and Mental Health with an emphasis in school counseling from the University of Arizona. Since then, I have spent several years working in schools, particularly with elementary-aged children and their families. Their diverse backgrounds, needs, challenges, and joys have helped me grow as both a counselor and a person. I love helping children learn about emotions and positive outlets for them, and supporting families as they navigate parenthood. I also enjoy working with teens and adults during life transitions and providing the support we all need throughout life. My skill set includes trauma-informed care, mindfulness, gender inclusivity, and positive conscious discipline.

As a Licensed Associate Counselor, I strive to be authentic, warm, and present in the working relationship with clients, whether it’s with kids, teens, or adults. I will sit with you in your feelings, gently push you when needed, and bring a sense of humor to the process as well. Together, we will identify your strengths, build skills, discover answers, and heal. You have made the courageous choice to take this step toward growth, and I hope to be a partner that empowers you during your journey.
