Meet Our Team
Kay Wolferstetter (she/her/hers)
Welcome to Soul Space! I’m Kay, a licensed addictions counselor and I'm excited to be part of your recovery journey and to support you in building a healthier relationship with substances. My approach focuses on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where we can explore your unique challenges and develop personalized strategies for lasting change.
I’ve worked my entire adult life helping others. My journey started in Wisconsin (Go Badgers! Go Packers!) where I worked with people wanting to explore steps toward recovery and independence. And moved to Tucson, AZ to continue my passion in helping people see their greatness and to establish person centered coping strategies. Most of my time in Tucson has been in community mental health and people experiencing co-occurring diagnoses.
I enjoy working with people ages 18 and older. As a woman in recovery, I find deep meaning in supporting others on their own healing journey, offering guidance, empathy, and a space for growth. Therapeutically, my areas of practice include addiction, anxiety, depression, the LGBTQI population, and grief. I utilize solution-focused brief therapy, CBT, and motivational interviewing as therapeutic techniques.
I’m involved with many non-profit groups in town including The Haven, Habitat for Humanity, and the Tucson Community Tennis Program (TCTP) to name a few. In my spare time, I love to play tennis, workout, and spend quality time with my family. We have 3 border collie mixed dogs and two older sassy cats! Whew….
So grateful that you are considering Soul Space for your overall health and healing. I look forward to being a part of YOUR journey!
