Meet Our Team
Rebecca Hamlin (she/her/hers)
I have always been passionate about helping people as well as captivated by human behavior. When I can help others find meaning and purpose, I light up. It was this fascination that led me to pursue an education in Social Work. I graduated from the University of Kansas with my Bachelors in Social Work (Rock Chalk Jayhawk!) and after relocating west, achieved my Masters in Social Work at the University of Nevada Reno.
My experience extends a wide range of settings, and I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults for over 9 years. This broad area of work only greater ignited my passion and finally landed me where I most thrive. I’m now licensed as a clinical social worker in private practice working with individuals 16 and up. I am trained in EMDR, an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective in the treatment of trauma. Additionally, I am certified in The Daring Way, a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brene Brown. This research focuses on critical topics such as vulnerability, shame, courage, and worthiness. In addition to training in EMDR and The Daring Way I have also completed a certification for perinatal mood disorders. I’m looking forward to working with growing families!
My style is strengths-based and recovery-minded. This means it is important to me that I focus on truly partnering with individuals or families in order to help them meet their goals and move forward in their lives.
